The National Videogame Museum is creating the UK's first game design archive, describing the medium as a cultural force that is changing lives. The archive aims to preserve and celebrate video game design as a significant cultural medium.

Mighty Doom developer Alpha Dog Games has returned to independent ownership two years after being closed by Microsoft. Studio founder Shawn Woods confirmed the mobile specialist is now independently owned by its founding team and is in discussions with partners and publishers about future projects.
