Luffy was stabbed directly by Nerona Imu using the Blade of Nothingness: Vohu and officially defeated . This week's chapter confirmed Luffy's defeat once again and showcased Nerona Imu's superiority. More importantly, it confirmed one of the key aspects of Imu's powers that stem directly from the weapons of the 20 Kings that sided with Imu long ago in the war against Joy Boy during the Void Century. While the vast majority of these weapons still remain a big mystery, Eiichiro Oda has officially unveiled 6 of these powerful weapons, and we are eagerly waiting for more reveals in the future. One Piece Chapter 1189 Confirms Imu's 20 Legendary Weapons From Void Century One of the biggest revelations that Eiichiro Oda made on July 26, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35, was that Nerona Imu's various weapons that he has utilized in combat against the likes of Loki and Luffy come directly from the Kings who fought alongside him against the Ancient Kingdom during the Void Century. This was a prevalent idea in the community from the get-go, and Eiichiro Oda finally confirmed it in this week's chapter. This officially confirms the number of weapons that Imu has at his disposal to be 19. “How unfortunate. The next one up is Xingtiang. Thou should be honoured to die by the weapons that created our world.” — Nerona Imu prepares to kill Luffy with his legendary weapon, One Piece Chapter 1189 It must be remembered that 20 Kings collaborated to fight the Ancient Kingdom in the Void Century of the One Piece world . Among them was Imu of the Nerona family, as well as Lily of the Nefertari family. All the weapons of the creators are currently in front of the Empty Throne, where they swore a vow of equality among themselves. These weapons can be summoned by Nerona Imu using his Omen, one by one, and utilized in combat, as was clearly seen in the events of One Piece Chapter 1189. This blade belonged to one of the Kings of the 20 families that collaborated to defeat the Ancient Kingdom, and Imu can freely summon it using his powers. It dealt deadly damage to Loki in One Piece 1181 and was then put back in the throne room of Marijoa. Imu then went on to utilize the second weapon named the Blade of Wrath: Gram. This weapon was used against Loki and pushed back against his own powerful attacks effectively. This Blade of Wrath: Gram was also given to Saint Sommers in One Piece 1189 on July 26, 2026. After Gram, Nerona Imu utilized the Blade of Hatred: Stigma. This is the attack that Imu unleashed in One Piece Chapter 1186 on June 29, 2026, and it took out Loki in a single hit. Luffy avoided a hit from this attack, only to be pierced by the next blade that Imu unleashed, which is the Blade of Nothingness: Vohu. The power of this blade was such that life was drained from the surroundings immediately, and all it took was a single stab to defeat Luffy in combat. “This sword feeds on life. How many slashes can thou endure before perishing? Monkey D. Luffy! Such a detestable name.” — Imu shows the power of the World Weapons, One Piece Chapter #1189 Eiichiro Oda also wielded the fifth weapon of Nerona Imu called the Blade of the Sea God in One Piece Chapter 1189 on July 26, 2026. This weapon was used to stab Luffy once again. It dealt even further damage to him and put him on the brink of death. In the most recent One Piece chapter, Oda also saw Imu give a spear called Longinus, also known as the Spear of Holy Command, and give it directly to Saint Killingham. This is also one of the legendary weapons at Imu's disposal, making it the sixth weapon. Finally, the seventh weapon that we saw Imu wield himself is called the Xingtiang Axe, which he intended to kill Luffy with. How Imu's Weapons Will Be Used In The Final Saga One Piece has finally unveiled another major secret about Nerona Imu by unleashing his incredible collection of powerful weapons. Even though the series is headed for a break next, with the release of One Piece chapter 1190 being lined up for August 9, 2026, we know for a fact that Nerona Imu will now utilize more weapons in the battles against Scopper Gaban. Primarily, Imu should still use Xingtiang Axe against Gaban because the former Wing of the Pirate King is an axe wielder himself. That said, this battle by Scopper Gaban is primarily to buy some time for Luffy. Fans should not expect Gaban to defeat Imu, as that is still Luffy's job at the end of the day. Gaban will do all he can in this battle, and more than that, Eiichiro Oda will use this opportunity to showcase more of Imu's powerful weapons. “Vohu! Tohu! Stigma! Longinus! Muramasan Nemesis! When the Great One gave us an Omen, he granted us access to them!” — Saint Sommers confirms his new power of world weapons, One Piece Chapter #1189 Assuming that Lily took her weapon with her, Imu should have 19 total weapons at his disposal, and that includes his own sword. So far, we have only seen 6 of the 19 in action, which means 12 weapons remain to be seen. Out of these 12 weapons, we know the names of 2 more, those being Muramasa and Tohu. These names were also revealed to us in One Piece Chapter 1189, although we haven't seen them being utilized yet. All these weapons could potentially be distributed among the Holy Knights and Five Elders. In fact, it is entirely possible that Shamrock's Cerberus and Shanks' Gryphon are also part of these blades, which is why they wield special importance and unique abilities. Dracule Mihawk's Yoru could also be one of them , and we absolutely cannot wait to see how these battles and these weapons shape the narrative of One Piece moving forward.
