How We Got Here

Kinetic Games has been steadily reworking older maps to match the visual quality of newer ones. Tanglewood got the treatment last year. Now it's 13 Willow Street's turn.

The base layout is the same, but the decoration is completely new. One bedroom is now an art studio. The garage is a gym. The basement became a cozy den with a bar and game room.

The New Ghost

The Deildegast is identified by Ghost Writing, EMF Level Five, and DOTS Projector. But its unique behavior is what makes it stand out.

Its speed generally being faster than other ghosts, especially early on in contracts.

You can counter that speed by displacing items—throwing objects around the room to slow it down. It's a fresh mechanic that changes how you approach evidence gathering.

What's the Bigger Picture?

Phasmophobia's continued updates prove that the co-op horror genre still has legs. The game's early access model—free updates, no paid DLC—keeps a loyal player base engaged.

The quality-of-life changes in this update are just as important. PC players can now bind equipment to 1-4 keys. Photo cameras highlight when evidence is in frame, just like video cameras. These are the small fixes that make the game feel polished.

What's Next

There's also a new challenge called Artist's Retreat, which tasks you with completing 50 contracts at the reworked location. The reward is a Sun Seeker ID Card and Badge.

With the map rework pipeline still active, expect another older map to get the same treatment before the year is out. Kinetic Games isn't slowing down.
