Dragon Ball Sparking Zero gets massive expansion with 30 new characters 2 hours ago Featured Tech News, Software & Gaming Bandai Namco has announced the biggest expansion yet for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Unlike previous DLC packs, which focused on adding small batches of characters, the new Super Limit‑Breaking NEO DLC is a full‑scale expansion, introducing new stages, a new solo mode, and more than 30 new playable fighters. Better yet, the DLC launches next week for all supported platforms. In a new video, Sparking Zero producer, Jun Furutani, outlined everything coming in the Super Limit‑Breaking NEO DLC. The expansion introduces a new solo mode, Limit Breaker Journey, which lets players take a favourite character and develop them through a series of battles and events across a map. Tougher opponents grant more EXP, and players can meet specific characters, equip Battle Art, and train for additional stat boosts. Characters enhanced in Limit Breaker Journey can then be used in Player Matches and Offline Battles. The DLC also adds 33 new playable characters, four new Episode Battles, new Extra Battles, and four all‑new stages. Some of the most exciting additions to the roster include Super Saiyan Bardock, King Vegeta, Grandpa Gohan, Supreme Kai, General Tao, Super Android 17, Uub, Demon King Piccolo, and Young Goku based on his appearance at the end of the original Dragon Ball series. Several of these characters have never appeared in the classic Budokai Tenkaichi games, making this the largest roster expansion the series has seen in years. Launching alongside the DLC, a free update will introduce two new battle mechanics: Sparking! Boost, which consumes more Skill Stock for a powerful temporary attack buff, and Chain Blast, which allows players to switch in an ally mid‑combo for massive follow‑up damage. The update also adds three new variations of existing stages, complementing the four new stages included in the DLC. KitGuru Says: Sparking Zero already launched with a huge roster, but this DLC pushes it even further. The only question left is how much will this cost? Become a Patron!
