Lavish Hospitality doubles the items you get from a Pal when that Pal is captured or killed, but the trick is knowing the Pal has the trait before you kill it.
If you want the practical version, it is simple: catch the Pal, check its passives, then butcher it. That is where the passive actually matters.
Lavish Hospitality is a Pal passive in Palworld that adds 100% more drops from that Pal, which is effectively a 2x yield. It can trigger when you capture a Pal or when you kill one, including by butchering it with a Meat Cleaver or a Pal Disassembly Conveyor.
How Lavish Hospitality Actually Works
The annoying part is timing. If you kill a wild Pal in combat, you usually do not get to check its passive screen before it is already gone, so the bonus becomes a missed opportunity more often than not.
That makes capture-first play the real strategy. Knock the Pal out, catch it, open its info screen, and look for Lavish Hospitality before deciding whether to keep, breed, sell, or butcher it.
The passive also does not help Pals working around your base. It is not a production multiplier for crafting stations, base jobs, or routine Pal labor. It only matters when the specific Pal with the trait is captured or killed.
How to Get Lavish Hospitality in Palworld
The only way to get Lavish Hospitality is to find a Pal that already has it. It cannot be given through implants, and it is a Rainbow/3+ tier passive, so it is rare by design.
The upside is that it is not locked to one Pal. Lavish Hospitality can appear on almost any Pal you catch, including ones caught through fishing or produced at breeding farms.
If you are lucky enough to catch two Pals with the trait, breeding them is the best way to stretch its value. Special Cakes, unlocked at level 74, increase the chances of offspring inheriting passives from their parents, which can turn one good RNG roll into a repeatable passive farm.
Gobfin Turf Is the Easy Farming Spot
Gobfin Turf is the most straightforward place to hunt for this passive because it has lots of Gobfins in an early-game forest biome sub-region. Gobfins can roll useful passives, and the area gives you enough targets that one good catch feels less like a miracle and more like a routine grab.
Bring plenty of Pal Spheres, use a capture-rate Pal like Wispaw, and keep only Gobfins with Service-Minded or Lavish Hospitality. Sell the rest to a Pal merchant for Gold and keep building toward the rare trait.
That farming run only matters if you need Gobfin materials or have a breeding combination that wants Gobfins. Otherwise, the passive is just a bonus you might never use, which is why the catch-and-check method matters more than blindly killing everything in sight.
Service-Minded Is the Backup Plan
Service-Minded is the lower-tier version of Lavish Hospitality. Instead of doubling drops, it increases dropped materials by 50%, which is still useful but nowhere near as strong.
It is more common than Lavish Hospitality, though, so it can still support a base-based farming loop if you get two Service-Minded Pals. Pair them through breeding, then use their offspring to build a steadier material source.
The bigger pattern here is classic Palworld survival math: rare passives become powerful once you can breed them reliably. One random Pal with Lavish Hospitality is a lucky harvest; two of them are the start of an actual system.
The caveat is that Lavish Hospitality is not a dependable farming engine on its own. It is a rare RNG trait, and Palworld still rewards patience, inventory space, and knowing when to stop chasing a passive that may never show up again.
For now, the best play is straightforward: farm Gobfins, keep Service-Minded or Lavish Hospitality rolls, breed strong passive pairs, and butcher the Pal once you know it has the bonus. It is not the most reliable drop method in the game, but when it hits, it turns a single Pal into a serious material accelerator.
