Multiplayer News Updates Videos If this past weekend’s headline for the Curse of the Allflame update launch in Path of Exile reads familiar, that’s probably because it is. This MMOARPG usually gets a lot of traffic, a bunch of hotfixes, and a lot of attention when it rolls out league-sized updates. Still, it’s our duty, and it looks as though things didn’t completely erupt into flames. We’ll call that a successful release. Play Path of Exile for free As with other such launches, Grinding Gear Games put forth a live update thread that tracks the updates made to the game along the way, most of which involved hotfixes to address several bugs related to hardcore mode Allflame characters, crashing, drops, and a temporary disabling of mercenaries in the Toxic Conduit due to it causing blockages. The game also had to have a couple of restarts while GGG addressed problems. As for player activity, Steam shows a 24-hour peak of just over 155K, which is just a little under half of its all-time peak of over 229K two years ago, while the game’s subreddit once more discusses tactics for the new update and shares some of the bugs that players have experienced thus far and Twitter mostly sees complaints about queues. So once again, a pretty routine launch by POE’s standards, we figure. sources: official forums , SteamDB , Reddit , Twitter
