Luna, who had almost 100,000 followers on her newest TikTok account, was diagnosed with the rare form of dementia back in April 2025, and quickly began documenting her diagnosis and fight for fans.

On July 23, she had uploaded a TikTok saying that she had a date for medical assistance in dying (MAID) – which was initially August, but that had been brought forward to July 25 and that she’d be spending time with her family before then. “It’s a hard decision to make, because I’m living in a body that doesn’t feel comfortable, safe, good, nothing,” Luna said. “It feels terrible.

And so the idea of waiting two weeks felt like too much.
