Jason Schreier says GTA 6's November 19, 2026 release date is still on track, with Rockstar appearing “pretty confident” the game will actually ship then.
That is not the same as a guarantee. The useful takeaway is that the latest insider signal is much stronger than the normal “we are close” language fans have gotten used to after years of delays.
What changed in the GTA 6 delay conversation
Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said in a recent YouTube video that GTA 6 is “90% close to near certainty” for the November 19 date, adding that Rockstar Games is confident the release is happening. His phrasing is oddly precise for a rumor, but it matters because it sounds closer to production optimism than corporate optimism.
That distinction is important. Take-Two and Rockstar can benefit from making the date feel real, but Schreier’s comment appears to come from people with a clearer view of the clock. For a game that has already survived multiple delay cycles, confidence from that side of the table is the first good sign in months.
It also changes the math around the silence. If Rockstar is confident, then the quiet marketing window is probably strategic rather than panicked. If it is not confident, then the quiet window is doing exactly what fans fear: making the date feel negotiable.
