Thanks to a pair of creative YouTubers, Minecraft has been condensed down to a playable version that runs directly on the platform. This version of Minecraft can be accessed on both the YouTube mobile app and the desktop browser version of the website. Since its full release in 2011, Minecraft has become a global sensation, with over 400 million copies sold, giving it the title of the best-selling video game of all time. While Minecraft was originally released exclusively on PC, it has been ported to essentially every platform it could have been in the past 15 years. However, being playable directly on YouTube is certainly a first for Minecraft, and it seems fitting given the game's history with the platform. Minecraft Has a Playable Version on YouTube YouTubers Atlas Arcade and Animated Subtitles have teamed up to produce a video that runs a version of Minecraft from within the video itself. In this version of Minecraft, players are tasked with defeating the Ender Dragon, first by destroying two End Crystals with snowballs before taking out their bow and shooting the Ender Dragon with arrows to fell the beast. YouTube playable versions of Doom, Five Nights at Freddy's, and even Mario Kart can also be found on the same channel. These may not be the complete versions of their respective games, but the fact that they can be played within a YouTube video takes some serious ingenuity, making them impressive feats regardless. YouTube and Minecraft have been intrinsically linked basically since the game launched into beta in 2009.
