Paris is getting a free, unticketed esports festival on the Champs-Élysées on August 2, turning one of the city’s most iconic avenues into a public showcase for gaming, entertainment, and casual competition.
The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 League of Legends tournament set a new peak viewership record for the event, with 1.47 million viewers watching Karmine Corp defeat T1. The tournament accumulated over 23 million hours watched, a 5 million increase from the previous year, with co-streamers accounting for more than 60% of that total.
Team Vitality has withdrawn from RENNSPORT sim racing, releasing its roster due to the lack of a sustainable foundation in the current esports ecosystem. This decision follows RENNSPORT's removal from the Esports World Cup lineup for 2026, which had previously provided crucial financial incentives for teams.
